News: Public Talk: Magna Carta at 800 - why should we care?

The SCR will host a free public talk on Sunday 7th December at 2.15pm in Holgate House.

As Magna Carta nears its 800th anniversary in June 2015, and with celebrations planned all around the country, this talk by Seif El Rashidi will shed light on why Magna Carta is still important today, and on the fascinating history of this 800 year old document, of which Durham Cathedral has 3 copies!

Seif El Rashidi, currently Magna Carta Programme Manager at Salisbury Cathedral, was formerly Durham World Heritage Site Coordinator (2008-2014) and is a member of Grey College SCR.

The talk is free of charge and open to members of the public. Please contact the college for directions and parking arrangements.
